Helping school-aged children advocate for themselves in the schools

Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will describe 2-3 strategies to support student self-advocacy.
2. Participants will learn how to write self-advocacy goals for students.
3. Particpants will learn how to measure progress of student self-advocacy.

Description: For this month's roundtable discussion, we will be focusing on ways to support the school-age child in learning to disclose that they stutter to their teachers, how to ask for what they need (or what helps) in the classroom, and how to write it up as a measurable objective on their IEP.
